Kill Me Now

I just read that the live action version of the beloved children's classic Charlotte's Web has cast none other than Dakota Fanning as Fern and the voice of Charlotte as Julia Roberts. Is nothing sacred anymore?!
Don't get me wrong, I adore little Ms. Fanning, but isn't she nearing 13? It's like a Shirley Temple movie, once she passed the point of being a little girl it was just plain old creepy. I am sure it is not easy making the transition from child star to the major leagues.
